Danielle Brotto
Danielle was born in Cuiabá, Brazil. One of the hottest cities in the country. She graduated in
biology and has always been passionate about research in cancer genetics. As an
undergraduate student, she was engaged in human genetics research. She then moved to the
State of São Paulo to have her Master's degree in the exciting field of epigenetics, assessing
how DNA methylation could influence the responses of cancer cells to therapy. In 2015, she
started her doctorate at the University of São Paulo. From then on, she had contact with
genomic methodologies and bioinformatics analysis, which gave her the opportunity to come
to the freezing Minneapolis to work with Dr. Venteicher's laboratory and pursue her interest in
translational oncology.
